As is common for me, I was referred to the Network Perception HR VP by a mutual neighborhood acquaintance. They had a pressing need to update their image portfolio across a couple axes – leadership portraits, corporate brand photos of staff in action and headshots of almost three dozen senior leaders and key employees. Their website was in the process of being updated.
Along with my assistant I did a site visit and scout a few days prior to the shoot in order to lock down the locations within their offices and dial in the timing of the different shoots. There were a lot of moving parts – we had to work around an all-hands meeting while shooting at nearly a dozen places and we had to do it all in a day.

Set up on the rooftop began a bit before sunrise. By the time the executives arrived, we were ready for them. I created a series of portraits on the roof and then we hit Wacker Drive and the river to fill out the portfolio with alternate looks.
After that is was back upstairs to knock out headshots for 30. While I photographed one person, another was reviewing and selecting their images with my assistant. A second assistant was prepping the next location.
Numerous vignettes around the building were completed and I photographed the founder and president addressing the all-hands meeting before we wrapped up for the day.
