Privacy Policy
Matt Kosterman Productions (“MKP”) is a Chicago-based photography studio. This page explains what information mattkosterman.com collects, why, and what MKP does with it.
Information you send
When you fill out one of the site’s forms (the contact form, an On the Road session inquiry, a Personal Sessions inquiry, a podcast guest request, or a question before your session), MKP receives what you enter: your name, email address and message, plus your company and phone number if you choose to include them. A podcast guest request also includes what you share about yourself and what you’d like to talk about. This information is used only to reply to you, to arrange a session, and, for guest requests, to consider you for the podcast.
Inquiries are stored in the site’s own records, sent to MKP by email, and added to MKP’s client records, which are kept in Airtable. If you tick the box to join the mailing list on an On the Road inquiry, your name and email address are added to MKP’s Mailchimp list. Every email from that list has an unsubscribe link. MKP uses Zapier to pass inquiries between these services.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located (city or region, not street address), and what kind of device and browser they use. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this, and it doesn’t identify you by name. MKP uses this information only to improve the site. To opt out, you can use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on or block cookies in your browser settings.
Podcast audio
Episodes and cover art for The Permission Slip are hosted by Fireside. When you play an episode, your browser loads it directly from Fireside, which may log that request.
Links to other sites
The site links to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, podcast apps, and podcast guests’ own websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave mattkosterman.com.
What MKP doesn’t do
MKP doesn’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and doesn’t share it with anyone except the services named above, which are used to run the business.
How long it’s kept
Inquiries are kept as long as they’re useful for working with you, and are deleted on request. You stay on the mailing list until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete the information MKP holds about you, email info@mattkosterman.com.
Children
The site isn’t directed at children under 13, and MKP doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
