Guest Request

If you’d like to be a guest on The Permission Slip podcast, here’s what to expect. Fill out the form below and I’ll get back to you. Thanks!

The show

The Permission Slip is a self-funded passion project: conversations with practitioners and healers about the many ways people give themselves permission to heal.

It has two aims: to let people know what’s available to help them on this journey of life, and to connect them with the wonderful humans who’ve dedicated their lives to practices the mainstream has long marginalized.

Why I started the show

What to expect

What we’ll talk about
  • Your story: your background, any trauma you’ve lived through, and how you came through it.
  • The biggest catalyst for your own healing, and how you knew you could do it.
  • Your schooling or training in your work (“none” is a fine answer).
  • How you work with people today.
  • Your advice for someone who’s stuck — in a job, a relationship, an addiction or in life. Where do they begin?
  • Questions specific to your work: how you work with the body, or belief systems, faith and programming. If you channel, I’d love to hear from the beings you channel. Kundalini energy is a particular interest right now.

I do my best to let you speak, stepping in when I can add something or help shape the story. It’s not an exposé, and I don’t ask “gotcha” questions.

How we’ll record

I prefer to record in person whenever possible: the energy is better and the conversation flows more easily. When that isn’t possible, we record remotely with Descript, which works a lot like Zoom but records higher-quality audio and video. You’ll need:

  • A computer with a solid high-speed internet connection
  • About 100 GB of free disk space, to store the recording temporarily
  • Opera, Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  • A video camera
  • Headphones with a microphone, if there may be noise around you (nice to have)

Once we’ve set a date, I’ll send you the link to the recording room.
